The 15th Quaternary Conference (Q15) ‘The Quaternary Everywhere and For Everyone’ organised by the Geoarchaeology division of UMR5608 TRACES will be held in Toulouse from 15 to 19 June 2026. The event will bring together a large part of the French and international scientific community working to advance knowledge of this geological period (from 2.6 million years ago to the present), which is synonymous with high climate variability, major environmental changes and marked by the emergence of human societies.
Aiming to bring together actors from different disciplinary fields: sedimentologists, archaeologists, climatologists, geographers, glaciologists, biologists, karstologists, and many others, Q15 will feature open-themed sessions to continue or initiate the interdisciplinary dialogue necessary to integrate everyone's research and results into contemporary societal debates. Recent methodological developments and emerging research perspectives will also be addressed during the conference, in sessions or dedicated workshops.
